Aaron Rodgers Opinionated On Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown Conflict
Aaron Rodgers was just one among many who dropped his two centers on the ongoing drama between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown. While the Philadelphia Eagles are certainly doing pretty well for themselves, reigning in the NFC East with 11-2, their recent matchup against the Carolina Panthers lit the feud between the two players.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Brown spoke against the offense led by QB Jalen Hurts, remarking that the passing could have been better. On Tuesday, New Jets quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, appeared on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and gave his hot take on the matter.
“It’s not like, I guarantee, Jalen’s not trying to avoid throwing a ball to his best playmaker on the perimeter. They say winning cures everything. But obviously, there’s someplace where there’s always going to be a little something, and maybe that’s what they thrive on, which is a little bit of that drama.” Rogers quipped.
“But I do think it can go like when it gets out like this, I think it can bring, kind of bring it together, and if it’s handled right away. … If I’m really thinking about this from a player perspective, most of the time, it’s like emotional things that are taken the way they’re exaggerated beyond what they actually are.” Rodgers said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’.
In the game against the Panthers, the Eagles managed to win with a final score of 22-16. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 14 passes out of 21 attempts for 108 yards, scoring a pair of TDs. In terms of rushing, Saquon Barkley led the team with 20 carries for 124 yards, while A.J. Brown defended with four receptions for 43 yards.
Jason Kelce Supports Former Teammates, Jalen Hurts And AJ Brown, Amid Ongoing Drama
On another note, Jason Kelce, who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles, came to the defense of current players, Jalen Hurts and AJ Browns amid the ongoing conflict. Kelce definitely did his best to soothe the tensions, commenting that the controversial comment by Brown was only passed as a result of frustration.
While the Eagles did win against the Carolina Panthers in the previous matchup, the team was certainly aware that they could have done plenty better. Kelce went on to say that misconceptions about the comment have been made, and that people are simply making a mountain out of a molehill. Kelce empathized with the duo, saying that he has been in their shoes, and knows what can happen when a player is highly competitive and wants to perform.
