Aaron Rodgers just proved once again why he’s the Hail Mary touchdown king on Monday Night Football. Just before halftime, the New York Jets quarterback hooked up with Allen Lazard on a stunning 52-yard Hail Mary as he connected with the wideout to keep the game close against the Buffalo Bills.
A few Aaron Rodgers passes to Conklin and then to Garrett Wilson got the Jets to their own 48-yard line. A perfectly executed Hail Mary followed: A huge arching throw by the 40-year-old sailed 52 yards into the endzone where it was snatched up by Allen Lazard. Falling to the ground Lazard secured the catch and scored the touchdown. The Jets just being down 10-20 seemed to be going into halftime with a 10-point deficit. The Hail Mary brought them within three points(17-20) and renewed optimism.

This was no ordinary play. Rodgers’ fourth Hail Mary touchdown pass of his career made the miracle throw his to own. That’s not the type of thing any other NFL player can match—Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton are the next closest contenders with two Hail Mary’s each. This latest Hail Mary only serves to engrave the legacy that Rodgers has had for so long of making the impossible possible.
Not Aaron Rodgers’ First Time
Fans will remember his legendary game-winning play against the Detroit Lions in 2015 and postseason miracles like his two mouthwatering Hail Marys against the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants. This throw against the Bills, no different, echoed each of those throws deeper into the NFL lore and deeper into those respective players’ hearts.
As long as @AaronRodgers12 is at QB…
NEVER count out the @packers.

Aaron Rodgers completed his first half with 192 yards and 2 touchdowns, keeping the Jets alive. Buffalo held the lead, but Rodgers’ Hail Mary was just the boost the Jets needed to give them hope as the half closed out and took the wind out of Buffalo’s sails.
As they continue their season, Rodgers has proven once again that when it comes to Hail Marys, there’s nobody better. So much so, that they may just rename it “Hail Rodgers!”
