Aaron Rodgers and his head coach, Mike Tomlin, are on their way to establishing a great partnership with each other, mainly since the latter has shown a rare skill of being unfazed by almost all types of drama. Renowned sports reporter Jay Glazer recently discussed this in his appearance on ‘The Jim Rome Show’ and basically praised Tomlin for his ability to hold it together when there is plenty of theatrics going around him.
Rodgers, while indeed a talented football player, is definitely no stranger to drama. Even right after joining the Steelers, the veteran quarterback has faced plenty of scrutiny regarding his new bride, Brittani, and his marriage itself.
“To Tomlin… I said, ‘Dude, the things that upset others about Aaron, you will get the biggest kick out of.’ Things don’t bother Mike Tomlin.” Jay Glazer remarked about Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers on ‘The Jim Rome Show’.

It is not the things surrounding Aaron Rodgers that are prone to meltdowns and theatrics, but the quarterback himself. Rodgers has in the past shown himself to be pretty vocal about things he is not comfortable with or things he is unhappy with in the team, even if it is not his call. For all these, a head coach like Mike Tomlin, who simply does not care about anything other than performance, might be the perfect fit for Rodgers.

To point out his dramatic nature, Rodgers even spoke out against the new helmet regulations in the NFL as soon as he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The quarterback is used to a certain Schull helmet model, which has been banned by the league, and the player made much noise about how he is not comfortable with the change.
Aaron Rodgers’ Lack Of Chemistry With Teammates Pointed Out By Julian Edelman
While Aaron Rodgers is known to bring his fair share of drama into whatever team picks him, he is also widely known for failing to gel with his teammates right from the get-go. This was recently pointed out by former NFL player Julian Edelman, who highlighted the fact that Rodgers did the same with his former team, the New York Jets, which was ultimately the reason for their poor performance.

In the 2024 NFL season, Rodgers did not make time to get comfortable with his teammates until much later in the season. According to Edelman, the veteran quarterback is making the same mistake with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
