NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers blasted the NFL for its prude ninth campaign, and Jason Whitlock agreed with what the former Jets QB had to say.
In a recent episode of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock blasted the league for the NFL Pride Month campaign, the same wya that Aaron Rodgers did. According to Whitlock, this only proved that the league is being “blackmailed” into [pandering to agendas and movements.
“This is Dez Bryant, just common sense emoting and flowing from his Twitter feed,” Whitlock said. “Aaron Rodgers, last week had a comment about this whole trans women thing. This is all just common sense.”
“I’m a football guy primarily, when it’s not WNBA season,” he added. “This NFL thing makes no sense. But I want to explain it to you why it does make sense. And I want to connect it to the conversation we were having yesterday about Glenn Greenwald. These things are all connected. This why I love to talk about sports, because you can understand the rest of the world. We’re living in the era and the age of blackmail. And maybe we’ve always lived in the era and age of blackmail, but now everyone and even institutions are being blackmailed.”
“Many of you when I say this, you go, ‘Oh, there you go with your tinfoil hat. You conspiracy theorist. You’re an idiot.’ Blah, blah, blah. You’re a joke, Whitlock. I’m also right,” he added. “The NFL has been blackmailed by the concussion controversy. The manufactured concussion controversy has Roger Goodell and the National Football League and their ownership group on their knees.”
In June 2025, the NFL continued its annual recognition of Pride Month, but with noticeably less participation from teams compared to previous years. While the league itself shared messages of support for the LGBTQ+ community, only four teams—Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Chargers—changed their logos to reflect Pride colors.

Aaro Rodgers Criticizes NFL for Pride Month Campaign
Aaron Rodgers and Dez Bryant have voiced strong criticism against the NFL’s 2025 Pride Month campaign, arguing that the league’s messaging has gone too far. Bryant, a former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, took issue with the NFL’s social media post that included statements such as “Football is gay,” “Football is queer,” and “Football is transgender.”

Rodgers, known for his outspoken views on social issues, echoed Bryant’s sentiments, suggesting that the NFL’s campaign was an example of “blackmail culture.” He argued that the league’s push for inclusivity was more about corporate virtue signaling than genuine support for LGBTQ+ athletes.

Aaron Rodgers has previously criticized the NFL for its handling of political and social movements, and his comments on Pride Month align with his broader skepticism toward the league’s activism.
