Aaron Rodgers may never get to play with the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the team recently hosted Jaxson Dart. The Steelers were truly interested in getting Rodgers for their squad for the next NFL season, but the 41-year-old quarterback has been delaying in making a decision so far.
A few days back, Rodgers was seen training with DK Metcalf, the newest addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which further promoted rumors that the former New York Jets quarterback will indeed be a future Steeler. As a result of the delay, it looks like Pittsburgh is looking at other options, like Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart, who had an incredible season with the Ole Miss Rebels, is expected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming NFL draft.
Dart played college football for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2022 to 2024, and before that was a part of the USC Trojans for the 2021 NCAA season. In his senior year, the quarterback managed a total of 4,279 passing yards, scoring 29 touchdowns along with six interceptions.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers has been in the game since 2005, spending most of his career with the Green Bay Packers. In the previous NFL season, Rodgers played for the New York Jets and did not impress the team much. The Jets eventually let him go last month, after which Rodgers has been looking for a new home.

Aaron Rodgers Might Be Waiting For Minnesota
Aaron Rodgers has had two potential suitors for the upcoming NFL season, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings. Between the two, the former was certainly the more eager team. But, Rodgers did not seem too keen on playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As per rumors going around in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers is eagerly waiting for an update from the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings indeed had a much better record in the 2024 NFL season when compared to the Steelers. Aaron Rodgers might also feel that he will have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl while playing for the Minnesota Vikings, as opposed to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The theory that Rodgers is holding out for the Minnesota Vikings, while having received interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers, is being discussed by numerous NFL analysts, including former footballer Ben Roethlisberger, and even reporter Adam Schefter. Time will only tell where Aaron Rodgers will be taking his talent in the upcoming NFL season.
