It has been a little over a week since the New York Yankees blew their chance at forcing a Game Six of the World Series after a meltdown in the fifth inning of Game Five, and even NFL broadcasters are taking shots at the players on the diamond.
During the fifth inning, the Yankees held a 5-0 lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York outfielder Aaron Jude went to catch a pop fly in center field; instead of catching the ball as 99% of people do, he dropped it, which caused the inning to start to collapse.
Aaron Judge Can’t Escape The Fifth Inning

The Yankees would have many mistakes after Judge dropped the pop-up, which led to the Dodgers tying the game up at five a piece and then taking home the World Series a few innings later.
Even though Judge has nothing to do with the NFL, he was roasted by broadcasters on Sunday. During the Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints game, Saints running back Alvin Kamara was wide open on third down, which would have sealed the win for New Orleans. Still, he pulled, and Aaron Judge and dropped the ball.

The Kamara drop led to former tight end and current Fox Sports analyst Greg Olsen comparing Kamara to Judge and stating, “That’s Aaron Judge dropping the ball in the fifth inning of the World Series.”

Unlike New York, the Saints still won the game even with the drop, but it’s funny that people are taking shots at the Yankees.
