Aaron Jones, running back for the Minnesota Vikings, recently spoke out about the age factor in a press conference. Jones remarked that ‘age is just a number’ and that the mantra definitely works with the ladies, especially older women.
Jones played for the Minnesota Vikings in the previous season, and before that, played for the Green Bay Packers from 2017 to 2023. Before stepping foot into the NFL, the 30-year-old running back played for the UTEP Miners from 2013 to 2016. The Packers selected Jones as the 182nd pick in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft.
“I feel the best that I’ve ever felt. I feel like I’m back to 24, 25 years old. Whoever came up with age, I feel like that’s just, it’s just a number, it’s just a number. I’ve been saying that since I was a little kid, trying to get older women. ‘Age is just a number.’ No it really is. If you stay young here (mentally) and you continue to work every day. That’s really what it is,” Aaron Jones said in the recent press conference.

After Aaron Jones joined their roster in the 2024 NFL season, the Minnesota Vikings managed to finish second in the NFC North after winning 14 games and losing three. The Vikings made it to the Wild Card round to take on the Los Angeles Rams, but lost embarrassingly 27-9.

Aaron Jones’ Teammate, J.J. McCarthy, Has Completely Recovered, Says Coach
Meanwhile, Aaron Jones can confidently play under quarterback J.J. McCarthy in the 2025 NFL season, according to recent comments by the team’s head coach, Kevin O’Connell. McCarthy tore his meniscus during the previous preseason and had to sit out the entire season.

McCarthy’s injury was truly devastating for the Minnesota Vikings, who then had to lean on to Sam Darnold as their starting quarterback. However, Darnold turned out to be simply fantastic for the team, which is why everyone was shocked when the team allowed him to become a free agent this offseason and sign with the Seattle Seahawks.
“Full. No limitations.” Kevin O’Connell said to reporters about J.J. McCarthy’s injury.

McCarthy was selected by the Vikings as the tenth pick in the very first round of the 2024 NFL draft. Before the NFL, the 22-year-old quarterback played for the Michigan Wolverines from 2021 to 2023. In his senior year with Michigan, McCarthy managed to throw for 2,719 yards, scoring 22 touchdowns, while managing five interceptions for the team.
