“A Super Bowl Contender”: NFL Insider Believes the Green Bay Packers are Legit Super Bowl Contenders

On Sunday night, the Green Bay Packers took down the Pittsburgh Steelers by a final score of 35-25. Green Bay has a 5-1-1 record this season and they are currently the number one seed in the NFC.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) gets sacked by Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons (1) during the second half at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on October 26, 2025.

The Packers might be rounding back into championship form once again. Quarterback Jordan Love was impressive against the Steelers on Sunday night. Green Bay is also one of the best teams in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers Ranked 6th In Latest NFL Rankings By the Athletic

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) hands the ball off to running back Josh Jacobs (8) during the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on October 26, 2025.

Josh Kendall and Josh Graff of the Athletic made their power rankings ahead of week nine of the 2025 NFL season. They have Green Bay as the sixth best team in the NFL. They said,

“Something scary: A motivated Micah Parsons

Since Week 4, when the Packers played Parsons’ old team, he is second in the league in sacks (five) and pressures (26), according to TruMedia. Oh, and Jordan Love completed 20 straight passes at one point Sunday and threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns. This is the Packers team that looked like a Super Bowl contender early in the season.”

If Green Bay continues to play like this, they will probably be the number one seed in the NFC. They will have to beat the Detroit Lions again if they want to win the NFC North title this season. The Packers are still a very young team and that could be there Achillies heal.

Some people think that Green Bay should probably be the number one ranked team in the NFC. They will next face the Carolina Panthers, and this is a game that the Packers will need to win also.
