Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart has been linked from anywhere to being a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to a second-round pick. There have been several teams who have been meeting with him before the 2025 NFL Draft.

Some teams may decide to take quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Giants, and the Los Angeles Rams are a few teams to potentially watch for in the Dart sweepstakes. Which team could potentially reach on Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft?
NFL.com Mock Draft Has the Pittsburgh Steelers Selecting Ole Miss Rebels Quarterback Jaxson Dart

The Steelers for now plan on starting quarterback Mason Rudolph to start the 2025 season. Pittsburgh let Justin Fields and Russell Wilson out the door this offseason. With that being the case, the Steelers may be forced to use a first-round selection on a quarterback although they don’t want to.
NFL.com writer Rhett Lewis has Pittsburgh taking Rebels quarterback Dart with the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Lewis said,
“Regardless of whether the Steelers ultimately sign Aaron Rodgers, this selection could give the franchise a long-term answer at QB. Dart broke Eli Manning’s record for career passing yards at Ole Miss and is in line with today’s NFL QB archetype: someone who can win with his arm from the pocket while also possessing enough athleticism to make plays on the ground when needed.”
It would also be a surprise if the Steelers did not sign Aaron Rodgers at some point this NFL offseason, unless he decides to retire. Dart during the 2024 season with Ole Miss completed 69.3% of his passes for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions. His QBR (quarterback rating) was 86.3.
Dart is 6’2″ and weighs 225 lbs. If the Steelers were to draft Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, it would be intriguing to see if he would be the Week 1 starting quarterback for Pittsburgh or not. There is also a chance that the former Rebels quarterback could be drafted earlier. Pittsburgh may have to trade up for Dart if they want him also.
