A.J. Brown wants Jalen Hurts back
A.J. Brown was already a highly regarded wide receiver before he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft. Quarterback Jalen Hurts made him even better. Now the wide receiver will be heading into his fifth season in the NFL. And he wants Hurts to stay in Philadelphia.

A video of Brown is going viral on social media. The Eagles star was talking about Hurts’ contract negotiations this offseason. And he sent a comical statement to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman:
“Listen, I love Philly, and what I’m about to say…If you do not pay this man [Hurts], just ship me off wherever he gonna go,” Brown said. “So you talk about pressure? Howie, get it done.”

The pair did well together in their first season together. The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, and Hurts finished second in the NFL MVP race.
As for Brown, he managed to have his best season on paper. He matched his career regular-season touchdown high of 11 touchdown receptions. But he had a career-high season in receiving yards with 1,496 yards. Brown also added 146 yards receiving in the postseason and caught a touchdown pass in the Super Bowl. Brown made the second-team All-Pro in 2022.

It’s easy to see why Brown wants Hurts back. Hurts services will not be cheap. The quarterback is expected to sign a contract north of 45 million dollars but under $50 million. He’ll likely be a top-three highest-paid quarterback when he starts the 2023 season in September.
