The Arizona Cardinals finished with a 3-14 record during the 2025 NFL season. Arizona decided to move off of Jonathan Gannon as head coach after just three seasons at the helm. The Cardinals offense has talent, but they need to figure out what they are doing at the quarterback position this upcoming offseason. The defense will also need some fixing as well.

It was reported on Sunday on Twitter by the NFL, “Cardinals expected to hire Rams OC Mike LaFleur as their new head coach. (via
,
)” It is interesting that Mike LaFleur wants to stay in the division and go from the Los Angeles Rams to the Cardinals. He is the second guy in the last two offseasons to go from one team to another in the same division. Ben Johnson went from Detroit Li
ons offensive coordinator to Chicago Bears head coach in the NFC North. Also, with Mike being hired as the next head coach, the LaFleur’s are the second set of brothers in the NFL to be head coaches just like the Harbaugh’s. Matt LaFleur is the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
Arizona Cardinals Fans Excited About Hiring Los Angeles Rams OC Mike LaFleur As the Next Head Coach

There are a lot of Arizona fans who are excited about hiring LaFleur as the next head coach. He had a lot of success under Sean McVay as the Rams offensive coordinator last season. This is what Cardinals fans had to say on Twitter about hiring him as the next head coach:

Get rid of Kyler, that would be the game changer.

The Cardinals could very well decide to move on from Kyler Murray at quarterback this offseason. Arizona is probably not going to draft anyone third overall and they may address the defensive side of the football instead. Signing a quarterback like Malik Willis or maybe even Kirk Cousins if he gets released by the Atlanta Falcons could be a real possibility here.
