The Ohio State Buckeyes have had a lot of wide receiver talent head into the NFL over the last several years. Ohio State seems to have a lot of wide receivers drafted in the first round of NFL drafts.

The latest Buckeyes wide receiver who could potentially be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft is Carnell Tate. He has a good year for the Buckeyes so far. Tate has caught 34 passes for 587 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 17.3 yards per reception. He is 6’3″ and weighs 195 lbs. How high can this Buckeyes wide receiver be drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft?
Latest Mock Draft Has Ohio State Buckeyes Wide Receiver Carnell Tate Being Drafted By the Tennessee Titans

Cooper Petagna of CBS Sports created his latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft. He has Tate being drafted in the first round, but he has him going third overall to the Tennessee Titans. It would not be a surprise to see him go first round, but it would be a surprise to see Tate go in the top three of the 2026 NFL Draft. Petagna said about the Titans drafting Tate in his latest NFL Mock Draft,
“Arguably one of the cleanest prospects on the board regardless of position, Tate’s combination of size, athleticism and efficiency as both a route-runner and receiver make him one of the safest bets in the class. A budding star who’s shared the field with Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith during his three seasons in Columbus, the Titans jump at the chance to pair Cam Ward with a polished, pro-ready weapon on the perimeter.”
There is no doubt that Cam Ward needs a true number one wide receiver. There are a lot of holes on this Titans team. Tate being drafted third overall by Tennessee would be a good selection for them. There are teams that will gage interest in the Buckeyes wide receiver. The Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants, and the Baltimore Ravens could be some other teams that could potentially draft Tate in 2026.
Tennessee could also trade down from the third overall pick and gain more picks. With the way this team has looked this season, there is a chance that they could land the number one overall pick again in the 2026 NFL Draft and the Titans would probably look elsewhere if that happened.
