Minnesota Vikings: G Blake Brandel

Blake Brandel underperformed in both pass protection and run blocking. He allowed 41 pressures, seven quarterback hits, and seven sacks in 17 starts. Brandel posted a 61.4 pass-blocking grade, a 57.9 run-blocking grade, and a 55.2 PFF grade.
First-round pick Donovan Jackson is already the front-runner to start at left guard. He has taken first-team reps at left guard with Brandel at right guard while Will Fries recovers from last season’s injury. Once Fries returns to training camp and controls the right guard position, the former undrafted free agent will likely settle for a backup or reserve role.
