The 2022 Fantasy Football season has ended. However, there is another way to play other than Redraft known as Dynasty. In Dynasty, you keep the team you drafted until they retire, or you choose to let them go. In this format both performance and longevity are considered. With that in mind, these are my 5 Best Dynasty Players at Wide Receiver.
1. Justin Jefferson
Finishing as the number 1 Wide Receiver in 2022 at only 23 years old makes Jefferson my WR1. He is absolutely incredible and should continue to be for many years. He’s the perfect piece to build your Dynasty team around.
2. Ja’Marr Chase
Chase is one of the best Wide Receivers in the NFL. He is only 22 years old and a star on one of the best offenses. He will be attached to a star Quarterback as the featured offensive weapon for a very long time. He’s number 2 because while he has gotten close, he hasn’t hit the same ceiling as Jefferson.
3. CeeDee Lamb
Lamb is 23 years old and phenomenal. He is the star WR on a strong team with high expectations. Finishing as the WR6 in 2022, CeeDee showed his ability to produce at a high level. He is a great Dynasty asset who has shown dominance is Fantasy Football. Lamb is number 3 due to his coaching staff fluctuations and slightly uncertain Quarterback future.
4. AJ Brown
The 25 year old WR just showed how amazing he is. In 2022, after being traded to a team with another great WR, he finished the year as WR5. With an awesome young Quarterback, AJ is in a very nice Fantasy situation for years. He isn’t Top 3 on the list due to his higher age.
5. Jaylen Waddle
Waddle is a phenomenal talent with great speed. He will be a fantastic WR for a long time. He’s only 24 years old and finished the 2022 season as WR7. He is ranked at number 5 because he is currently the number 2 WR on his team. However, unlike other situations the current number 1 is an older WR. If Waddle gets the WR room to himself he will shine.
Honorable Mentions:
Amon-Ra St. Brown
23 year old St. Brown showed his fantastic upside in 2022. He finished the year as WR8 on an upcoming offense that can continue to improve. His situation is a little uncertain at Quarterback and another talented WR will be truly joining his roster in 2023, so what that will entail for Amon-Ra is unknown.
Tee Higgins
Higgins just turned 24 years old recently. He is tied to an amazing young QB on a contending team giving him high Fantasy value. The problem is that he’s the number 2 WR on his team.
Garrett Wilson
The 22 year old Garrett Wilson showed impressive potential in his rookie season. He is very young and very talented, but had terrible Quarterback play in 2022. Unless that gets fixed his upside will be limited.
DeVonta Smith
Smith is young and talented. He’s only 24 on the same strong team as AJ Brown. However, he is now the number 2 WR on that team. This limits his upside keeping him out of the Top 5.
