This Thursday the San Francisco 49ers will face the Seattle Seahawks in their second matchup of the season. In the 49ers vs Seahawks matchup, if San Francisco wins, they officially clinch playoffs, winning the NFC West. There will be a lot to look for with the 49ers on a six-game win streak and Seattle losing their most recent game. Here are three San Francisco players to watch in this 49ers vs Seahawks matchup.

49ers vs Seahawks: Dre Greenlaw
49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been a standout player in the past two games. Two weeks ago he had a fumble recovery for a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. Last weekend, he caught an interception against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the 49ers vs Seahawks matchup, Greenlaw will be a player to watch against a strong Seattle offense.
This season, Greenlaw has had a total of 103 combined tackles, 71 one which has been solo, according to ESPN. He has also forced one fumble and recovered two, one resulting in the linebacker scoring a touchdown. Last week was Greenlaw’s first interception of the season, but he will be looking for more.

Last weekend, according to ESPN, Greenlaw had a total of 15 combined tackles. This week, Greenlaw will have to watch for Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, a mobile player, to make runs. This will make the linebacker an even more important player to watch in the 49ers vs Seahawks game.
49ers vs Seahawks: Brandon Aiyuk
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been having a solid season this year. Last weekend, Aiyuk scored a touchdown at the end of the first half, boosting the 49ers’ blowout lead even more. Against the Buccaneers, fellow wide receiver, Deebo Samuel suffered an injury that will keep him out for a couple of weeks. Without Samuel, Aiyuk will be a player to watch in this 49ers vs Seahawks matchup.

This season, Aiyuk has had 58 receptions for 755 yards and seven touchdowns, according to ESPN. Aiyuk has also averaged 13 yards per reception, which is helpful playing with a rookie quarterback in his first away primetime game. What has helped Aiyuk so much this season is his increased skill at running his routes. Aiyuk is a player to always gets open, making him a key player in the 49ers vs Seahawks game.
49ers vs Seahawks: Charvarius Ward
49ers cornerback, Charvarius (Mooney) Ward has been a solid player this season. Although he has not made big plays in the past couple of weeks, he will still be a player to watch in this 49ers vs Seahawks matchup. With wide receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf on the Seattle offense, Ward will have to be sure not to let them get big plays against San Francisco.

Ward has had a total of 70 combined tackles, 22 of which have been solo, and nine pass deflections, according to ESPN. Ward also has forced one fumble and caught one interception for nine yards. While Ward has not forced many turnovers, his coverage has greatly helped this 49ers’ defense. According to ESPN, Seattle has thrown for 244.2 yards per game. This is something that Ward will have to prevent if the 49ers want to clinch the 2022 playoffs this week.
