The reports for which NFL players were fined during Championship Weekend have come out. Among the reports, there were two 49ers players fined for unnecessary roughness. The 49ers faced a brutal loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, missing out on yet another Super Bowl. Here are the two 49ers players fined, and what they did that caused the fine.

    49ers Players Fined: Trent Williams

San Francisco 49ers left tackle, Trent Williams has been fined for unnecessary roughness in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship game. While the two teams were shoving each other, Trent Williams essentially threw Eagles’ K’Von Wallace to the ground. Wallace was holding 49ers wide receiver, Deebo Samuel’s face mask, which led to Williams committing the penalty. Both Wallace and Williams were ejected; however, Wallace will not face a fine.

The full video of the fight can be found here, posted on YouTube. As one of the 49ers players fined, Williams will now have to pay $12,731, according to Tom Pelissero. Earlier today Williams also confirmed that he will not be retiring and will return next season, which is great news for the San Francisco 49ers.

    49ers Players Fined: Dre Greenlaw

49ers linebacker, Dre Greenlaw, was another 49ers player fined for unnecessary roughness in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship game. While the team was attempting to tackle an Eagles Player, Greenlaw started punching. This was through a mix of frustration and attempting to fumble the ball. The cameras did show that Greenlaw only hit the ball, but the penalty still stood.

Ian Rapoport confirmed on Twitter that Greenlaw was one of the 49ers players fined. Greenlaw will now have to pay $10,430 according to Rapoport.

The 49ers battled through many quarterback injuries this season, and by the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship, were clearly frustrated. Despite the teams getting into it a couple of times throughout the game, these were the only two players who were fined.
