The San Francisco 49ers dominate the Seattle Seahawks 27-7 on a windy and rainy day at Levi’s Stadium. However, the day was not great for San Francisco despite the 20-point win over their division rival.
Injury Issues

Injuries have plagued the 49ers this season. Trey Lance was carted off the field after he kept the ball on a run-pass option taking a hit from Seahawks linebacker Cody Barton on the third offensive series of the game for San Francisco. As a result of the hit, Lance will need ankle surgery and his season will be over after two games this season.
Clutch Insurance Policy

As a result of Lance’s ankle injury, the 49ers turned to Jimmy Garoppolo to lead the offense once again. He looked cool, calm, healthy, and efficient in his first game in 2022. Garoppolo had a clutch performance completing 13 of 21 passes thrown, 154 passing yards, a 7.3 yards per pass average, a passing touchdown, and a rushing touchdown to put away the game in the 4th quarter. There is no doubt that the hope of a Super Bowl in San Francisco in 2022 hinges on Garroppolo’s shoulders.
49ers Dominate Seahawks on the Ground

The 49ers found their identity on Sunday, and it was running the ball. They rushed 45 times for 189 yards using multiple players carrying the ball in their dominant win against Seattle. Jeff Wilson Jr. had a nice bounce back game from week one with 84 yards on the ground, on 18 carries, and a 4.7-yard average.
What’s next after 49ers dominate Seahawks?

San Francisco travels to Denver, Colorado, and has a matchup on Sunday night football in week three with Russel Wilson and the new-look Broncos at Empire Field at Mile High.
