The San Francisco 49ers’ season went from bad to worse on Thursday Night Football. A 12-6 defensive battle went in favor of the Los Angeles Rams. San Francisco fell to 6-8 on the year and are quickly losing any hope of making the playoffs.
To make matters worse. now San Francisco is dealing with a player who seemingly quit mid-game.
“He’s Getting Cut” 49ers’ Charvarius Ward Comments On Starter Who Quit Mid Game Vs Rams

De’Vondre Campbell refused to play for the 49ers in the loss to the Rams tonight. Due to an injury to Dre Greenlaw, the 49ers needed Campbell to fill in. As opposed to helping out his team, he quit:
“He said he didn’t want to play today,” said Kyle Shanahan. “That was in the third quarter.”
This is surely not going to go over well with the players in the locker room. Shanahan looked irrate from when he answered those questions. Defensive star and leader Fred Warner was asked about Campbell refusing to go in. So was All-Pro cornerback Charvarius Ward.
“I don’t wanna say too much on it. I’ll keep it in house,” said Warner.

Cornerback Charvarius Ward didn’t mince his words:
Charvarius Ward on De’Vondre Campbell refusing to play after Dre Greenlaw went out:
