Bisontis is currently listed at 6’5, 290 lbs and plays offensive tackle at Don Bosco. Bisontis is a rangy player who projects well at the next level. His highlights show a physical mauler who uses leverage well to pancake opponents. There is a little nastiness and a lot of violence to Bisontis’s style of play, and that is what you want to see from an offensive line recruit.
Chase has the footwork excel in a zone scheme and climb to the second level and the athleticism to pull in a gap scheme. He is a good fit for A&M’s multi-faceted running game.
Bisontis Commits To Addazio
Chase cited his relationship with OL coach Steve Addazio as one of his reasons for choosing A&M:
“Coach Addazio played a huge role for me,” he said. “I feel like the relationship is very strong. My official visit and meeting them in person went great. Everybody here at Don Bosco knows coach Addazio. A lot of Don Bosco players went to Boston College and played for him when he was the coach there. When I ask those guys, like Tommy Sweeney who is in the NFL with the Bills, they only say great things about him. That’s what I wanted to hear.
Bisontis ranks #62 nationally in the 247 Composite, #9 at Offensive Tackle, and the #1 recruit in New Jersey. He is someone who can come in right away and provide immediate depth on the interior at guard or redshirt and fight for a starting job at tackle in his second season. Bisontis possesses the disposition to play inside and the athleticism and intelligence to play outside.
When former offensive line coach Jim Turner was at A&M on his second tour from 2016-’18, you would see all of his offensive line recruits maul the opposition in highlight videos. The commitment of Bisontis is a sign Steve Addazio looks for a similar physical and mental makeup when evaluating recruits.
Chase Bisontis is Texas A&M’s 7th commitment in the 2023 recruiting class and their second offensive line commit. Colton Thomasson from Smithson Valley is A&M’s other offensive tackle commitment. Bisontis chose A&M over offers from Michigan State, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, and others.
