With the 2022 NFL season fast-approaching, Fantasy Football players are searching for the best targets to pick up in their draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers were not one of the best teams to target for fantasy in 2021, but in this article, I will outline three players that could give you the edge you need in your league.
1. RB Najee Harris
Harris led the team in rushing with a whopping 307 carries, 1200 yards, and 7 rushing touchdowns. His rushing yards was good enough for 4th in the entire NFL. He also added 74 catches, 467 yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns. He had an absolute monster rookie year for the Steelers and for Fantasy players. With the uncertainty at QB, Harris may be asked to shoulder a similar workload in 2022. Harris is a top five RB in Fantasy.
2. WR Diontae Johnson
Johnson finished the 2021 season with a team high 107 catches, 1161 yards, and 8 touchdowns, which put him at 6th overall among WR’s in the NFL. Whether it’s Trubisky, Pickett, or Rudolph under center, Johnson should still get enough production to put him right back inside the top ten WR’s for the 2022 season. News broke recently that the Steelers may not extend Johnson’s contract after this season, which could force him into even more production to show other teams what he’s worth. Johnson is a top ten WR in Fantasy.
3. K Chris Boswell
I very much so wanted to put the defense in this spot, but with a few departures and retiring’s, I felt it necessary to move onto a more productive position for Fantasy Football purposes. In steps Chris Boswell, who was almost automatic in 2021, posting a very efficient 27/29 PATs and 36/40 FGs. Those numbers were good enough for 7th in the NFL. I will also add that Boswell is the ONLY kicker in the league who has posted a 90% or more make percentage on FGs in each of the last three seasons. He is a top five kicker in Fantasy.
The Steelers could have several other players go highly in Fantasy drafts, including, Mitchell Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, Chase Claypool, and the Steelers D/ST.

Great article! I was big on Claypool going into last year and he was very disappointing. Wonder if he can have a breakout year with a new QB.
