We are almost a quarter of the way through the fantasy football season! Teams are starting to fall into patterns which makes analyzing who to start and who to sit much easier. Here are 3 players to start in fantasy football week 4.
Marquise Brown WR Arizona Cardinals
I will keep preaching opportunity being the key to success in fantasy football. I talked about it in last week’s article and on the Gridiron Heroics podcast and I will do it again this week. The Cardinals offense is wonky. It feels very feast or famine and that causes a lot of people to stay away. However, Marquise Brown needs to be in your starting lineup this week. He got a whopping 17 targets last week and caught 11 of them. With De’Andre Hopkins still on the 6 game suspension, quarterback Kyler Murray is clearly favoring Brown. Marquise Brown is one of the players you need to start in fantasy football in week 4.
Brandon Aiyuk WR San Francisco 49ers
Let’s stay on the wide receiver position and talk about Brandon Aiyuk. He stat line last week wasn’t anything too eye popping. He caught 3 passes for 39 yards though he did get a touchdown. As I watched the game, it felt like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was targeting him more often. After the game, the stats backed up my suspicions. Brandon Aiyuk had 8 targets which was the exact same amount as Deebo Samuel. The 49ers play the Rams this week. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey will most likely spend a lot of time covering Samuel meaning that Aiyuk may be the preferred target.
Khalil Herbert RB Chicago Bears
I recommended David Montgomery last week and then he went out with a knee injury. Khalil Herbert took advantage of the opportunity. The fact that I am recommending for two weeks straight you start someone on the Chicago Bears offense is mind blowing. However, I have to follow the numbers. Herbert had a monster game in Montgomery’s absence racking up 157 yards and 2 touchdowns. It isn’t just Herbert’s stats I am excited about either. Their opponent, the New York Giants, just gave up a massive amount of rushing yards to the Cowboys. Tony Pollard ran for 105 yards and Ezekiel Elliot added another 73. The Bears should have success against the run. Not convinced? Remember, the Bears do not throw the ball. Justin Fields has completed 23 passes all season. Kyler Murray had 37 completions in his week 3 game alone. Keep an eye on the David Montgomery injury but regardless start Khalil Herbert.
These are 3 players you should absolutely start in fantasy football in week 4. The opportunity is there for all of these players to have big games. Good luck to all in your week 4 matchups!
