Three Kansas City Chiefs WRs are banged up
The Kansas City Chiefs will need to use the bye week before the Super Bowl to heal up. The Chiefs came into the AFC Championship a little banged up, especially with the passing part of the offense. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes played Sunday with a high-ankle sprain. Travis Kelce played with a back injury. Now three wide receivers are dealing with serious injuries before practice Thursday.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, wide receivers Mecole Hardman Jr., JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Kadarius Toney will miss practice Thursday.
No practice today for Chiefs’ WRs Mecole Hardman Jr. (pelvis), JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle/hamstring), per Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid.

Smith-Schuster, who is dealing with a knee injury, was listed as DNP for Wednesday’s estimated injury report. That’s not good news for the Chiefs, as he was the teams leading wide receiver in the regular season. The Chiefs appeared to hedge their bets on wide receiver injuries this week, as the team re-signed Jerrion Ealy to the practice squad.
