In my initial review of the Arizona State Sun Devils team, I mentioned that players such as: Robertson, Soelle, Taylor, and Valladay are going to play significant roles in the team’s offense and defense – which merits the preseason all conference team selections.
LaDarius Henderson (6′ 4” 310 lbs; Waxahachie, TX) was voted as a preseason All Pac-12 conference team selection on the offensive line.
Henderson is now a senior and certainly has the team accomplishments and accolades to warrant the selection.
- Having become a starter at 17 years old (in the third game of the season) and continuing his potential trajectory – making 10 starts at Left Tackle during his freshman season in 2019.
- Sophomore season (2020) – played four games (at Guard and Tackle) during a shortened football season due to the pandemic.
- Junior season (2021) – started 13 games at Left Guard; only missing 12 snaps while playing 813 snaps; allowed one sack throughout the season, and was a part of an offensive line that helped average 202.3 rushing yards during the season.
Henderson is going to be the bona fide star on an inexperienced offensive line that will look to him to protect QB Emory Jones and help create running lanes for fellow preseason All Pac-12 conference Sun Devil teammate Xazavian Valladay.
