The Maxwell Player of the Year Award has released its 2022 Watch List. Big-time stars from the 2021 season highlight the watch list. Players like Bryce Young, Will Anderson, Stetson Bennett, C.J. Stroud, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Bijan Robinson, and Caleb Williams headline the list. All are looking to build off of stellar 2021 campaigns. However don’t count out players in new waters like J.T. Daniels, Spencer Rattler, and Jordan Addison. Or under-the-radar guys like Jaren Hall, Malik Cunningham, Hendon Hooker, and Cam Rising. In an award geared toward offense (LB Will Anderson is the only defender on the list) look for plenty of explosive performances in 2022.
