There’s no denying that 7-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady, is deservedly in the conversation for football’s greatest player. However, how will the 45-year-old stack up against a set of modern, dual-threat QBs in your upcoming fantasy football draft?
What has Tom Brady done recently?
In his 22nd season, Brady averaged an impressive 23 points per game. The performance pushed him past the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers to finish third on end-of-season power rankings. We can lend part of Brady’s success to the Buccaneers’ talented receiving corps, led by former Pro Bowl selections Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Both will remain in Tampa for the foreseeable future, although Bucs fans should expect significant changes to the offensive lineup. Brady will make his return without role-playing wideout Antonio Brown and trusty tight end Rob Gronkowski. However, he will gain valuable targets in the former Atlanta Falcon, Russel Gage, and in third-year pass-catcher Scottie Miller. Miller will make his healthy return from toe injuries which occurred three games into last season.
What will the 2022 season look like?
With Brady under center, Tampa Bay is set to make yet another Super Bowl run. However, they will do so with a change at the head coaching position. Former Jets head coach, Todd Bowles, will replace Bruce Arians at the helm. Bowles’ arrival may bring a potential increase in the Bucs run game, led by RB Leonard Fournette. This could be something to consider when weighing Brady’s fantasy value. Although, following his 5,000-yard passing campaign just a season ago, we shouldn’t expect a dramatic decrease in offense through the air.
Expectations
After a brief retirement, it seems as though number 12 will be doubted more than ever, but if there’s one thing we know about Tom Brady, it’s that he thrives in the face of doubt. Expect Brady to utilize Tampa’s depth at the wide receiver position and for adjustments to be made in the offense that better suit his throwing ability. Look for TB12 to be drafted 5th-10th in the quarterback position and to be an easy starter in standard 12-team leagues. Can Brady continue to deliver? Absolutely.

Could depend on Godwin’s return date, however I agree in the fact that Brady will be a strong contribution to the Bucs this year.
Amazing to get him back, even if he only signed for a only a one year deal
