As the college football season is just around the corner, it is time to look at the preseason top college football preseason rankings.
- Alabama Crimson Tide: Coming off a national championship loss, Alabama should still have a very good 2022 college football season. They still have Nick Saban and Bryce Young
- Ohio State Buckeyes: Their one loss last year came to arch rival Michigan. It is hard to see Ohio State missing the playoff for a 2nd straight year.
- Georgia Bulldogs: The defending national champions lost a lot of key pieces in this year’s draft especially on defense. They should still be able to dominate though after a championship last year.
- Texas A&M Aggies: Injuries really hurt their team last year, but they still pulled off a thriller win in October against Alabama. If the full team stays healthy, they should be looking forward to a great 2022 season.
- Notre Dame Fighting Irish: Notre Dame had a great year last year. Their strength of schedule could derail them this year. They play Clemson, Ohio State, BYU, and USC, all tough competition.
- Utah Utes: It stung for Utah to lose the Rose Bowl the way that they did. Last year Utah really showed that they have the ability to compete on the big stage.
- Clemson Tigers: A 10-3 record last year for Clemson is considered quite a down year for them.
- Oklahoma State Cowboys: The Cowboys were overlooked for much of last season, but Spencer Sanders is back to lead the offense.
- Michigan Wolverines: They finally got over the Ohio State hurdle last year, but a disappointing College Football Playoff semifinal showed that they still have work to do.
- Wake Forest Demon Deacons: Wake Forest continues to thrive. Last year they started off unranked and then went 8-0 and played in the ACC championship game. With QB Sam Hartman back, Wake Forest should be able to score a lot of points.
These are the top 10 college football preseason rankings.
