The College Football Season is getting closer. With 12 days left until BYU kickoffs against South Florida let’s get to know some players on the roster for this upcoming season. This will give fans an idea of where these players have come from and what they could do for the cougars this season. I will do one every day there is a player with that number.
Malik Moore
Today is Malik Moore senior defensive back 6-1 195 lbs. Before coming to BYU in 2018 Moore played for Point Loma High School. In 2018 he played in 13 games and had three tackles and one interception. In 2019 Moore played in 12 games and had 14 tackles. In 2020 only played in five games and had six tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup. Last season Moore played in 11 games and had 27 tackles, three interceptions, and three pass breakups. Moore is listed as a starter at free safety. He is on track to have another big season and have some more interceptions.
Puka Nacua
Today is Puka Nacua junior wide receiver 6-2 205 lbs. Before coming to BYU in 2021 he played for Washington and Orem High School. Last Season Nacua played in 10 games. Nacua had 35 receptions for 666 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for 148 yards on 14 attempts. Nacua is also on track to have a great season as a starter in the wide receiver group.
