Oregon’s great season ended disappointingly, losing to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Many fans are looking forward to 2025.
The Ducks will lose many players on both sides of the ball, including quarterback Dillon Gabriel, but last offseason, when Gabriel transferred in, so did another great signal caller.
Oregon Could Have A Star In The Making
Dante Moore was a true freshman at UCLA in 2023 and played pretty well, but he decided to enter the portal. Instead of going to a place where he could start immediately, he decided to go to Oregon, where they already had a great quarterback, and sit and learn.
Moore decided to head to Oregon and play behind Gabriel for a season, and now he looks to be the man in 2025.
During the Rose Bowl media days, Oregon’s current wide receiver Tez Johnson, who is heading to the NFL this April, has high praise for Moore and stated,” He’ll be a Heisman finalist next year, 100%. It’s something you haven’t seen yet; that boy can throw a ball like no other. I’ve never seen nothing like it.”

Moore has all the tools and talent to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country next season, and their schedule will be pretty easy, so there is a chance he could put up great numbers and find himself in New York.
Oregon fans might be upset that their team is not playing for a title this season, but they have a lot of greatness coming in the future. They have one of the best young head coaches in the sport, Dan Lanning, who will soon take them all the way.
