During the first start for quarterback Arch Manning, the Texas Longhorns were assessed an unusual penalty on the defense.
During the second-quarter of play, the Longhorns defense received a delay of game penalty for something that is typically not called. Mocking or imitating the hard count of a quarterback is a tactic defenses and staff members have used since the start of football to throws teams off balance.
However, the Longhorns were caught for doing so against the ULM Warhawks, which ultimately resulted in a penalty on the defense. It is a situation that does not occur often as many officials do not call such an offense on the defense often.

Regardless of the penalty, the Longhorns defense has been unstoppable as the the Warhawks continue to struggle to move the ball. The Longhorns also look exceptional on the offensive side of the ball with Manning leading the team to quite the successful showing.
Manning had previously played in a blowout win and also as relief for starting quarterback Quinn Ewers, who went down last game with an injury.
Texas Longhorns Crush ULM Warhawks Behind Arch Manning, Offensive Dominance
The Texas football team not only have manhandled the Warhawks, but also have looked like a cohesive unit while doing so.
Texas is currently the top school in the country for a reason, and it is not just because of the start power that the roster brings. The Longhorns have been arguably the strongest team in the country due to the way they have played together throughout the season. As Manning has shown, it is a next man up type of program that can slide anyone in to do the same job.

Coach Steve Sarkisian is someone who is known for getting the most out of his players and has done just that through four games.
The Texas Longhorns look like a dominant team early on this season and only continue to improve throughout each game. The next serious challenge for the Longhorns will come in two weeks against the #15 Oklahoma Sooners, who will enter the game looking for a much needed rivalry win. The Sooners walked away with a 34-30 win over the Longhorns a season ago in one of the most bitter rivalry games in the college football landscape.
